Who, me?

I thought this was pretty cool! (Wish I could fix the formatting, but it looks a mess when I try. Apologies!) I know the numbers can fluctuate just from doing my own searching for various books in various genre's, so who knows how long it will remain. But at the time of the screen shot, Miss Independent was sitting at #85 under "African American Women's Fiction" on the Amazon UK Best Sellers list. Not sure how many sales I've generated thus far, but just wanted to say a big THANK YOU to anyone who has read it, recommended it, bought it and even those who returned it after realizing it wasn't for you. At least you tried it and maybe passed it on to a friend. LOL.

I am in the middle of completing the second book in the series. I have the title, the story, the beginning/middle/end, which is good because it is also helping me to flesh out Book 3. I am currently filling in the blanks for the second installment and am having a blast in doing so! There is still a contest on Goodreads for the chance to win a printed copy. Mind you, it's a PROOF copy, so there will be a few mistakes, but hopefully not as many as would be in a rough draft.

Again, thanks to all of those who continue to read Miss Independent as well as all other books I have placed on Amazon and B&N!

Have a great Sunday everyone!

CRASHED: A SKULL & BONES MC

It's been a while!  So much has been going on within the world and my personal life that I had to take a severe step back with my writing. I hated it, but it was also necessary. Because I suffered from terrible writer's block and as a result, was unable to pen anything worth reading.  I started writing CRASHED sometime in 2020 before stopping and then trying to pick it up over the last four years. I was never bored with the story but overtime, became unmotivated to finish. Within the last few months, I was able to change that and finally finish the story that had initially gotten me back on my feet after Professor X .  There are some things I changed about the original story, such as the name of the MC, a few themes and the cover. But overall, the story itself is the same and has gone back to the roots of the first MC I had ever written and published, Inflamed . River and Mia also make appearances in this story, by the way.  If you would like to sign up to read an A...

#WriterWednesday - Inflamed 'Fun Fact!'

Did you know...? The scene in which Mia & River finally talk about their feelings for each other and hook up was written about a month before nearly everything else that happened prior to it. Right after I wrote the prologue and first three chapters, there was a giant gap of 'stuff' that was supposed to happen, but I wasn't sure how to fill it because I didn't know what any of that 'stuff' would be. So I decided to move forward with other parts of the story until it finally hit me. That exact moment of their hook up came to me as I was writing another scene, and I just went with it, all while having zero clue as to how the hell they got to that point (given where they started)! It was only when I finished those scenes that I knew what I was building up to and how the story itself would come to an end. It amplified and intensified every conversation and encounter between them, hence the name of the book. I changed the cover three times in the hope of ...

Having said that, let me just tell you again that this book was SO MUCH FUN TO WRITE! I know that people were frustrated with things that happened (or didn't happen) in  Decision Makers and I get that. It frustrated me to write it because the characters took me to places that I didn't necessarily want them to go, but knew that they needed to. In some respect, they had...
